The Kansas Song Project

The Kansas Song Project began in 2003 when Cally Krallman and Diane Gillenwater, both of Topeka, began collaborating on lyrics and composing songs reflecting Kansas people , places and history. They drew upon the musical talents of fellow Kansans and the Kansas Song Project was born. One of the purposes of the project was to educate people about our great state, its' colorful history and also to leave a legacy of music styles being created in Kansas today including a unique blend of bluegrass, folk and country.
