SUPERTAPE -
Supertape AKA: DJ Minor Leagues has been spinning and
collecting vintage vinyl since the 90's, he used to have a weekly spot at
the gaslight tavern every Thursday night appearing before DJ Satta to warm
up the evening with first pressing dub beats from the 60's and 70's.
In the past five years though, he made a move away from
the dj-ing end of things and decided to try and produce his own "found
sound" compositions. The equipment list is long and mostly analog in
nature; from reel to reel machines to discontinued tascam units to kids
keyboards that claim "china" as their only maker, and of course
the seven hundred pound crate of records, that litter his studio/ apartment.
He's just another bedroom producer trying to swim ahead of the current.
